TDCJ Inmate Search

Texas Prison Bookstore

Welcome to Texas Prison Bookstore, the largest online bookstore dedicated exclusively to family and friends of inmates incarcerated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. We sell and ship TDCJ approved books and stationery only. We do not waste your time and money shipping unapproved items to your inmate. If we sell it, they can have it. We respectfully work in cooperation with the Mail Coordinators Panel In Huntsville. If for any reason any of our books or stationery is denied, we will replace or refund the denied item immediately. However, the denial must come from the Mail Coordinators Panel as a result of the appeal process. We cannot refund items that have not been appealed. Please make sure your inmate knows they should appeal any mailroom denial. 99.9 % of our product denials have been lifted after the appeal process.

Our inventory consists of new, used, closeout, and remainder books as well as current and back issue magazines, tabloids, comics, and puzzle books. We also stock a large supply of new stationery supplies. Every item has been approved by the Mail Systems Coordinator Panel and has been deemed suitable for inmates in the Texas prison system.

We take responsibility to work with the families, inmates and the Texas Department Of Criminal Justice to supply inmates with books and stationery to not only make their stay a little easier but also offer them material that will aid them in leading a better life outside the prison walls. Its a responsibility that we aim to live up to. Please don't hesitate to contact us and let us assist you today.

Current Magazines

Magazines and all periodicals are approved by the Mail Systems Cooridinator Panel (MSCP) on a month to month basis. For this reason some current issue magazines are from the previous month. We apologize for this unavoidable situation. If you have any questions please contact our office.
